Because they are always happy to see you when you get home...unlike some spouses!

...because taking them to use the restroom, and for a short walk, brings them insane amounts of happiness and it's contagious. Because they don't demand gourmet food, a little water from the can of tuna I just opened on their dogfood is a treat like none other. Because they talk complete nonsense. Okay, well my humans do that too. Because they have spasms of joy just knowing I'm awake and in the same room. My dog will go to his crate to barf on a nice cleanable surface, and my daughter has never made it to the toilet once with puke. :-)

They just want to be with you all the time, they're never throwing judgment and their love is unconditional

They'll be there when times are tough, they will protect you and they will make you laugh hysterically. My puppy definitely does Not to mention, they are some of the best listeners I have ever found!
