I got this picture from the fan site mentioned above...can someone please tell me what the HELL she is wearing on her head? Thank god for the new millenium...If I had to wear this to work, I'd fling myself from the nearest bridge!

Kewl, my imagination works very well, PLEASE don't wear the white low cut see through dress to work, especially if it's a mini skirt (what you do in your own free time is up to you, I guess!)
Kristi, I think she's wearing one of those old time urine collectors for peds patients; that's the closest thing I can think of that I've ever seen in a hospital. (I've never seen a cap quite like that in all my years of nursing, yes I've seen the smaller, shorter doily types before, but never one quite so tall!).

Hey KristyWhite,

Thanks a million for that picture. It was my best laugh all week!!!

I've never seen a hat quite like that but I have seen one close to it. In nursing school we had a picture of our founder in her early 1900's nursing getup. She had the most ridiculous hat I'd ever seen up until that point. It provided our class with many laughs, almost as many as we got out of the dated anatomy filmstrips they showed us and the demonstration films that showed patients smiling from ear to ear because they were about to get an NG tube inserted.

Right before graduation some of us got nervous that they administration was going to say something like "To honor our founder, we will wear caps like hers." Thankfully they didn't.

Sylvia

Re: White Nursing Dresses?

Dresses?? Why Would You Want One? It Was Always Up Over Our Heads While Making Beds, Giving Baths, Bending, Stooping, Lifting, Pulling, Etc. They Are As Logical As Those Stupid Hats We Used To Have To Wear.
