Okay, so my sociology teacher says that all principles of Sociology are essential for a nurse to ingest because humans are socially dependant creatures, meaning that the survival of a human being depends on his ability to be social with other human beings.

His standpoint: Without society, man dies. Man needs society for intitial survival and to thrive. Each person is unique in that there is only one of each. But No One is special in the sense that they are truly independant. Each one of us only likes to think that we are special, but we are not since we are socially formed.
In reality, we are all socially developped and thus our psychologies are, for the most part, developped by the norms, values, and taboos of those around us. Thus, there is no really objective "growing up" in life. "Growing up" is simply getting adapted to the norms and values and taboos of different societies and choosing which ones you prefer for yourself. So, most psychological struggles can be seen as a way of man trying to revaluate himself in relationship to his society, struggling with how society defines him, and trying to adapt to how society changes.

Are u a nurse yet and if so, Do you agree or disagree with the statement that:
1*Man is completely dependant on being social in order to survive. If he refuses to be social with other human beings, he will be extinguished.

And its collarary(sp?): 2*That, therefore, no one is special in the sense that everyone is very-much shaped by the society(and its subsequent norms, values, and taboos) either he is surrounded by or the society(and its subsequent norms, values, and taboos) he chooses to surround himslef with. And thus, "I", is really a collected-over-time "we" ingested.
