My hospital offers RNs an additional $2.50 per hour over base pay for the evening hours from 7pm-11pm; RNs working 11pm-7am earn an additional $5 per hour over base. So a 12-hour nightshift for an RN is nice
LPNs earn shift differentials, too, but it's less...I *think* it's 1.50 more an hour for eves and either $3 or 3.50 for nights. I can't recall.
There's no differentials or bonuses for weekend work, however. Everyone, whether RN, LPN, or care tech must work alternating weekends as a requirement of the job. Calling out on "your" weekends buys you another weekend on
