Political Parties and Blood/Tissue Donors

Based on your experience in nursing, do you think more Democrats or Republicans donate blood, organs, and tissue?
If you can give it as a percent, name which group is leading and by what percent.

As much as I'd love to say that Republicans really are as heartless and uncaring as they'd like us to believe, I think the ratio is closer to 50-50 when it comes to blood donations. At least, I hope so!

Cool

We have very few Republican's where I live. Heard stories but can't swear that they are hunted down like dogs in deer season.

Used to be a Donation Consultant

I would like to know if there is data for this Poll.
In my history in family approach and obtaing consent and the alocation of organs and tissues once donated and recovered, I do not believe there are any questions asertaining the polical afiliation of the reciepients or the donors of Blood, Organs or tissues.
My gut tell me that it is still too low for either party knowing that the consent rates are in th3 teens regardless of the political affiliation.
Historically Organ donation is higher than tissue donation (or consent rates) One must consider that there are times when the consent is obtained but recovery turns out to be ruled out for one reason or another. So donation rates may be scued because consent rates are higher historically.
I was a donation consultant for 6yrs and did a lot of research and training for hospital professionals and the public for all of southern Col between 1995 and 2001.
Questions about this subject can also be directed to me at my web page.

Just courious. What is your point? What difference does it make if I THINK one party is more inclined to donate tissue or oragans over the other?

To answer the questions I have no clue? I would not even venture a guess.
