I took care of a patient that actually had a tattoo of an ejaculating penis on her chest. I had to laugh when I was trying to help her learn to breastfeed and figured out what it was! I have four tattoos: a heart with the man in the moon on my right breast, a pair of hearts with my two kids' names in them on my right upper arm (my husband says it makes me look like Popeye the sailor man), the NA symbol on my lower back, and my beloved green VW bus on my right thigh. The bus one hurt the most, BTW. On on the back, almost not at all.

I can only hope she was under the influence of a mind-altering substance at the time! I remember that she had some explanation for it, but it was not memorable enough for me to remember what it was.

I have 3 tattoos, one is a tulip, one is the letter S which are both on my abdomen, and the third is a lifeline with foot prints walking along it on my arm which is mostly covered up by my scrubs unless i am doing something that i require lifting my arm or something of the sort....many patients have noticed it and love it.

There aren't enough drugs in the world to get me that high.

Alrighty then!

I have several...dolphins swimming around my right ankle, an Irish sun on my right arm, a cat on my left, and I'm getting at LEAST 4 more, and they are now/will be in places that can be covered while I'm working...Now as a student I obviously haven't had much experience in how patients react to them but when I was a waitress at a restaurant here in town, a guest saw the bottom edge of the sun on my arm and requested a new server...she said she didn't want 'some punk chick with that crap waiting on me' (her exact words)...LOLOL!!

Wish I had that imagine...

when I was getting my tattoo ankle!! I also wish I knew at that time, that some day I will have one of my childen say to me, "Well Mom, you have one...!"
I haven't gotten there yet, but my four year old daughter just loves the fish on mama's ankle, so I can see her being the one to say it!

I have two small tropical fish on my right ankle.

I have tattoos, but it was before I decided to go into nursing. I was in alot of punk bands so tattoos were a prerequisite for rocking out.
