I have 3.
One is a tye-dyed peace sign with a starburst design around it on the back of my neck,
Two a a heart and rose on my right shoulder, and
Three is a homemade job on my left ankle.
The only one I regret is the left ankle.
Young, drunk, stupid and "in love".....
should tell the story.

I have 3, a "bird of paradise" on my left breast.........hmmmmmmmm, Hidden meaning? LOL
a beautiful butterfly on my left shoulder, and a bird on my right leg......just above my ankle.
They are old, still colorful, still what I like, but from when i was younger and you know......
i don't object to tatts. It annoys me when people say something smart alec about mine.
I don't think my tatts are any different than a woman that wears tons of makeup.....

Man did I start off with a bang!!! I have one on my right shoulder---roses---do not regret it---but won't do it again. I think some are very tasteful and even pretty-- others awful.

Hey Melissa. Sorry this isn't exactly re-lated to the topic of "tattoos". I tried to PM this pic to you and couldn't get it to go through.

I thought it was really cool and wanted to share our love for dolphins!

Won't ever get one b/c Hubby is waaaaaaay too disapproving of them. He about died when he learned our daughter had a few. She got a treble clef put between her shoulder blades when she was in college and at the time was pursuing a music degree. She has a cute Chinese good luck symbol on the top of her big toe (OUCH!). I think the one she regrets is the tatt of roses with a past love's name on her left chest/boob. She has never even let me see that one entirely.

Old Joke: "I had a tattoo of a Labrador on my butt. Now that I am 85, it looks more like a Shar Pei...."

Tabby...

That pic was way too cool! I do not personally have one, but I have toyed a time or 2 with get one but like reg prolly never will cause hubby thinks they look trampy on both male and female alike....very conservative I guess. My g/f has a gorgeous rose on the calf of her right leg from her days when she rode bikes with a gang. She loves it still and so does her darling 3 y/o daughter.

I am of a theory if it is really what you want and you can live with the knowledge that you can never (ceaply I might add) remove the ink then go for it. Like it was said before, they are not everyone's cup of tea and some are very ornate and beautiful. i would never hold it against anyone that had one or is getting one.

Reg, love that joke....lol lol lol lol

I have 2 tattoos~one on my upper rt. thigh(pegagsus) and one on my left lower leg(female sun). I got the first in 1987 and just got the second one about 1 1/2 years ago. I've had my tongue pierced for the past 5 years. My tats are covered by my scrubs and I've never had any complaints about my barbell.

My individual style does not impact on my professionalism as a nurse. : )
