I totally agree. i have two butterflies on my left upper arm and i am planning on getting the rest of my arm done (1/2 sleeve) when i go out to CA for christmas this year. i don't think other people should judge people because they have them or not that doesn't justify what type of a person somebody is just because they have a tattoo or piercing!

I do have piercings 12 in all. Two of them being facial but, I do take them out for work and was hired with them in at the time.

To me I think of tattoo's as art and a way to express yourself. I don't think because someone has tattoo's or piercings they can't do a better job then someone who doesn't. If someone wants to judge me for the way I look because of it, it's there lose not mine and better off they don't talk to me anyway

I am a student nurse with a small tattoo on my forearm that is the Japanese symbol for ...love and compassion...

When people ask me what it means, I tell them and they smile and I smile back.

Tattoos, even facial tatoos such as Mouri's have is no problem for me.
Many people who are religious find them offensive. Employers either refuse to hire or resort to passing editorial criticism on the content.

I have 3

I have 3 tattoos -- a ring of roses on my right ankle, a small butterfly on my lower back and one on my left ankle.

The one of my left ankle is horrible. It was done w/o a lot of thought when I was nineteen and boy, do I regret that one. I will get it removed soon, but until that time it is my punishment for being so stupid! The other two are very pretty and I do not regret them.

I personally wouldnt get it removed, the process is very costly and extremely painful - whereas you could find a very good tattoo artist that could cover up the tattoo with a new one and you wouldnt even see that old one

You cant please everyone now can you

But you know what - there are more and more people getting tattooed, pierced, branded and scarred and the world (religious people and employers and whoever else) just better get used to it

I completely understand not having piercings that will get in the way in work - but not to offend people, I dont think in the Bible it says "Thou shalt not have piercings and tattoos" (but if someone can find that quote for me I'd love it)

I have a ring of flowers with a little frog in the middle on my right outer ankle & I have my nose pierced, I wear a tiny gold stud in it. I also have many earrings in my left ear. Thus far, I haven't freaked anyone out. Pam

Taking myself as an example with my belly ring, and future ankle tattoo, this is my stance on it: unless my shirt's over my head, and i'm not wearing any socks at work, the tattoo and belly ring are no anyone's business.
