Re: Nursing Career

If you would have asked me a year ago as I was struggling in my first few months as an RN, I would have said NO!!!! Several months ago though, I left acute care and I am now much happier. As time goes on, I have fewer regrets about choosing nursing. Sometimes I still have moments where I wish that I would have made a different career choice, but there are a lot of opportunities in nursing that other careers don't have. I've also learned that your life does not have to revolve around your career and it is possible to seek fulfillment in other ways. Overall, I am satisfied with nursing at this time.

Re: Nursing Career

No, I'm not happy, and one of the reasons is that I'm new at it and it's really scary right now but also I don't like floor nursing. I really wish I'd picked a different career and I'd really like to get out of floor nursing asap although I don't know how people find all these great office jobs especially with very little experience in nursing. I'd also like to go back to school at some point but I don't know what I'd like to pursue. I just really don't like floor nursing.
