OR Nurses...need help

Hi........ok........I have a question for the surgery nurses out there.For your anterior cervical fusion patients......what is a radiopaque spacer?My neurosurgeon was suppost to utilize a allograft bone during my fusion.......but he opted to utilize a radiopaque spacer instead.What is a radiopaquespacer?
