I voted for t shirt, chest hair or no hair, there are so many styles today, a guy can find one to suit the needs of the uniform. I just think it looks more professional. I would never go without a bra, and believe me, I even wear a tee shirt under some tops to prevent cleavage flashing. I am a professional, I want to look professional, when I want to look sexy, I keep it where it belongs(at home with hubby)

As a male nurse...who could care less..unless it's the female staff. I have never experienced a problem with my not having a T-shirt. Where I work, the ladies want temperatures into the high 70's and I can not handle that degree of heat. An underlying T-shirt places me into an uncomfortable environment. I would not require the female staff to wear T-shirts if it is 60's on the floor and no tops. So, is the problem with their interpretation of what is comfortable to them, or to the patients? I think the former.

You guys are so funny. Guys wear the same type v-neck scrub tops most of us wear with about the same amount of skin showing (yeah, some of those v-necks run pretty low on some of us females, too). And because their skin has more hair they should cover it? Why? Since when did hair peeking out of scrub tops become "indecent" or "unprofessional?" Heck, all these years I thought it was just a male thing...you know, just like they NEED the fly in the front of their pants for more than just taking them off like we do--just the difference between a man and a woman...Maybe we should all just get dipped in Nair every coupla weeks... That would settle all the "disgusting" hair problems; no leg or arm or pit hair, no pubic or ear or chest or neck or facial hair, and certainly no hair for those disruptive and unprofessional hair-do's. And we'd all be so much cleaner, I'm sure, because we wouldn't be carrying bugs around on our hairs. And while we're at it (because we have a hair aversion), let's do the same thing to all of our patients. After all, some of them are pretty hairy...carrying germs and all that...it'll make 'em look more decent...

I think that NO hair on a man is almost as scary as too much. But at least even too much is natural, completly hairless is not natural for most men. It's really funny how we as a society are when it comes to hair. I personally think it's "gross" for a woman to have hairy underarms but not so much a man. But in some societies it is perfectly normal for a woman to have underarm hair...as it should be (if God wanted no hair he would have made us that way) Guess I'm a product of my culture...oh well. I voted no T shirt required, but my personal tastes differ...but it's just that, my PERSONAL tastes.

There has got to be more important things for people to excited about. What about the ladies with loose tops. A guy can't help the hairiness and he isn't taping hair on his chest to try and be sexy to the ladies in the nursing home I'm sure! Too funny!

I voted no t-shirt. Personally I don't have a hairy chest, and some days I choose to wear a t-shirt and others I don't, really depends on the weather.

cast my vote, and as a male with a hairy chest i would say let it all hang out, its too damn hot to wear anything underneath. anyway i am sure when i bend over and my top opens the female nurse i'm working with is not distracted, just as when they bend over and i stare down their cleavage, i'm not distracted!! :hatparty:
