I applied once and was accepted into an AAS/ADN program. I had a 4.0 GPA when I applied. Not so now, however.

I applied to nursing school like 3 or 4 times!!! My GPA was a 3.88. I decided to go finish my bachlors degree in another field then tried again. By then they had changed up how they let people in (decided that just because you have a 4.0 in 4 classes DOESN'T make you the best nurse) and got in. It was tough...and even tougher when I went through nursing school. But I say if you really want it...keep trying!
