I first found this site when looking for some help finding home-health related pda software.
About a year later, I found it again when doing anther nursing related internet search. Then, I decided to join, but it took me a while because I couldn't come up with a user name (and I ended up changing the one I originally signed up with).
By definition, I'm still more of a lurker. I read the posts here close to daily, but I probably post only a few time a week; sometimes less. I'm just not very social.
A few weeks to a month. I finally joined when I put in my application for to study a bachelor of nursing at university. I found out last month that I got accepted into my first choice course and start orientation on February 11 - with my first lecture on February 18.
Congrats bassandtea on getting accepted! Make sure you check out our student nurse forums I'm sure you'll find them a valuable resource.
To everyone else, thanks for sharing your stories! For those who have not replied, please do
I chose the "several months" option. I found this site quite a while ago while running a typical nursing google search. I came upon it again while researching nursing programs in my area and have lurked pretty consistently since then.
It took me a while to register because I'm a little on the shy side and I also couldn't figure out a username for the life of me that wasn't already taken!
