Just curious? Do you talk about allnurses.com at work?

Maybe bring up the funny stories you read? Ask opinions of your colleague about interesting nursing topics you've read here? Maybe even print up articles and share them at work? (hint... hint )

So many users say that they heard about allnurses from their co-worker, I'd like to know how many of you are actually doing it.

For those of you who do tell others about AN, we really appreciate it . Word of Mouth is the best (and cheapest) way to help us grow

Please take a minute to answer our poll, and please post your feedback

Re: Do you talk about allnurses.com at work?

Yes- some, but to a select few..and mostly those not in the same dpt. I might need to vent someday..and it's a small facility.

I DO tell EVERYONE else I know in the nursing field though...from my old job...and previous students/clinical buddies.

I put no because I have very rarely told someone that I work with about AN. Like April, I talk about work sometimes and the rumormill/gossp train on my floor is already in overdrive. Here, the odds are far smaller that something will get back to someone who should not hear it.

No, no, no. I can't take the risk of people figuring out who I am!

I'm like cardiacRN2006. I love this site and would love to tell others about it but it's my little slice of heaven where I can blog in my journal, vent about conditions at work and stay anonymous.

Sorry Brian.

No way! The gossip at work is already out of control as is! that's what you get when 170 RNs work on one unit!

Re: Do you talk about allnurses.com at work?

I read on this board about all kinds of things, including nursing in the Middle East and discussions about male nurses bathing female patients. I discuss things I find here of interest with fellow nurses. This board is for learning and sharing, no? Not for dragging down. If this is the case, why shouldn't we all be telling others about it?

Re: Do you talk about allnurses.com at work?

I was a software engineer for many years before going to Nursing School. I have always gone by the rule "never put anything on the internet that you wouldn't want read". I have already figured out who a couple of posters are on here that I went to school with. I just wouldn't vent anything I wouldn't want found out.

My answer is no. I enjoy the anonymity of the internet.
