[quote=Karen06]I have a couple interviews for PCT positions, but I have no idea what to expect as a salary. I am a student nurse in NE FL. Please tell me where you live, your experience, and how much you make. I know I will probably have to take a pay cut, but to be doing what I am going to school for will be worth it, I think. Thanks for you help

Just started 2 weeks ago, no experience as an LNA, but am in nursing school, for $10/hr base pay. Shift diff. for my 3-7 shift, and weekend shifts. They said they normally only hire those with experience, but hired me because I'm in nursing school (and are desperate for RN's. I'm thinking the NM is hoping I'll stay on after I graduate). I think they're also tired of paying agency LNA's $20/hr.

In Chicago(suburbs) I was making from 14-18$ an hour depending on the facility. The average is 13 in nursing homes and 15 in hospitals.16$ for agency work.
This is with no experience. In the city the pay starts at 11 and up wo differentials.
My 3 bedroom apt was 850 in a decent neighborhood close to downtown.
