Talking Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I took my test in 2001 and really thought I blew it too. The questions were nothing like I prepared for and mostly about diseases I never heard of! Imagine my terror when the computer clicked off at 85. I could hardly leave the examination site quick enough.......I think I cried all 2 hours on the drive home. It was the longest 72 hours I ever waited through to find out that I passed!

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I felt so anxious after my NCLEX, too. I passed with 75 questions. What helped me was a thread on here that discusses why people feel so bad after the test even though they passed. I think it is under "waiting on NCLEX results? Read here first." I felt much better after reading that thread.

Hang in there!

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I have the very same question. I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday. I really feel that I failed because the computer shut off at 75 questions . I just sat there hoping that by some miracle the computer would give me another chance and ask me som more questions! I had numerous SATA questions and 2 fill in the blank math questions, three drop and drag, and what seemed to be endless drugs that I did not know. I knew the answers to the last few questions which included a very easy drop and drag question and a very easy select all that apply. Does that mean that I the computer confirmed me to be below the standard? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
~Thanks.

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

There's no way of knowing-remember there are 15 test questions that are not graded and I think a drag & drop can very likely be one of those.
I know its so excruciating to wait for the results but try to keep in mind that it is much more likely that you passed. I just tried to keep busy and get out of the house to pass the time faster-something to distract yourself.
Rent french or italian subtitled foreign films-it takes a lot of focus to figure those out!!! ok I know that sounds off the wall but you know what I mean! Keep your spirits UP!!!!

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I took the MD RN-NClex yesterday. I am do to start work on monday, on the unit I love. I feel horrible. I got to 75 and the computer shut off. I took Kaplan and was in the pass range. I took the ATI predictor and got 99% on passing the first time. I hate to sound anything less than positive but I don't feel good about the test at all. It was something I feel like I was not prepared for at ALL. I am having a fit! It is a holiday weekend so who knows when I will find out...I have prayed about it and still I fdon't feel like I did well. I just don't know what to do. I can' t eat, can't sleep. I am a real mess.

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I wish I would have read this thread before I found out my results. I took my test on Wednesday and was so sure I failed when the computer shut off at 75. The questions were so hard that I didn't think I stood a chance. I think when I found out this morning that I passed was the most exciting moment of my life. I am still in shock by the results.
