NOT so in nsg school.
I agree. I knew I passed about 3/4 of the way through. I got priority question after priority question. It was EXACTLY what my nursing school director told us it would be-the easiest test we will take in nursing school.
Our tests were by far, harder.
I went out right after the test and celebrated with a mimosa for breakfast!

Passed at 75 with 3 select all that apply, NCLEX is relatively easy compared to our local board exam here in the Philippines. I knew right then when I stopped at 75 that I will pass.

Most of my questions are prioritization, delagation, triage and infection control, if you have a solid foundations in these areas, you will surely pass. I was all smiles all throught out the exam, I was so sure I'll pass!

Alrighty...so I sat for my NCLEX on Tuesday the 10th at 8:00am. I had done the tutorial days prior so I knew when I started I could cruise through that section so that I could spend as much time on the test as possible. Anyway, I started. It started easy, you know, basic knowledge questions. Then it started to get tough. A lot of priority questions. And a big handful of Pharm questions...I had no clue what the heck those meds were!!! Around question 50 I decided that I was going to take extra time and just kick butt...well as much as I could anyway. By question 70 I thought to myself that I was going to at least question 110 or 130. After I answered number 75 the thing had shut off...I was done. I walked out feeling like complete crap. I felt like I guessed of far too many questions. I had a total of 3 alternative format questions...all of them were "Select all that apply." I had no other type of alternative question, and the biggest bummer was that I had NO math questions.
To sum things all up last night at 2:30 am my license was posted on the CA BRN website!! I am so excited! The loss of my social life and all the missed social activies all paid off at that one moment!

I just took my NCLEX RN August 2 (thursday). It is sunday right now and the waiting isso unbearable. It's stressful waiting for my results, to even checking the California BRN for the last 2 days. I went up to 75 questions, and i'm ambivalent to being happy the test was 75 to hoping Ihadthe opportunity to answer a little bit more. I hope I did alrite and can say by this week I'm an RN. Wish me good luck, and hopefully I can repost that I'm a new grad ICU RN.

passed at 75, nclex easier than nursing school exams. I was scared that I failed just because I was thinking the whole time "OK where are the hard questions?" I knew if you got the easier ?'s right it would give you harder ?'s, I don't believe I ever received the "harder" ones.

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

Why, with the computerized testing, does the grading process take so much time (several days)? Is it not possible to print out a pass or fail form for the candidate as the exam is completed (pick up the form at the desk on the way out)? This would appear to be easier.
I know, a few days is less than (the old way) a few months, but instant on site scoring is available for EMT exams in many states..... why not for nurses and other professions?
