I used an NCLEX prep book that allowed me to cover up the answers and try to guess first. Then it gave me a rationale so I could understand if I choose the wrong answer. I think the book I used was Saunders (Sorry, it's packed up now!). I also used a CD that I got with my NCLEX prep course that simulated questions and I really think that helped too. Good luck!!!

Yea , i used the latest edition of saunders and the cd ,i also baught the 2009 edition of kaplan the difference between these 2 books it that kaplan gives you stradegeis to approach the test and saunders is more of the study book where you refreash on the areas where your either weak on or have forgotten. As for me personally i feel none of these books helped me , i think nothing really perpares you for this test, simpley b/c you just dont know what questions your going 2 get, i think its all about critical thinking.

And this holiday weekend is really torchering me i took my test on thursday and im in Fla so we get the ''Quick results'' but b/c of the holiday i have 2 wait till either monday or tuesday AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH its just killing me i cant even sleep , but i keep having faith in God he didnt bring us all the way here just 2 drop us

I found out I passed...on the 4th!!! I took my test on 7/2 and was told I would have to wait until Monday for the quick results because of the holiday/weekend. But my grade was still there within 2 business days...thank God!!!!
Good luck to everybody! You can do this! Don't let the computer shutting off at 75 scare you!!!

I took the NCLEX today. It shut off at 75. I only got about 10 SATA, priority q's, and pharm and some "easier/failing questions" (well I think they were). I took Kaplan and did 100% of their Q-banks and all the question trainers.... I know FOR SURE that I failed!!!! It is the worst feeling in the workd. I was a B/B+ student and don't know how I could have failed but am 99.99% sure I failed today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like a failure............... stinks.

I got home and sat on the couch and got out my kaplan book and told my husband "well, I've got 45 days to study before I can take it again...."

Just found out that I passed yesterday! Yes! Yes! 75 questions. Hey Nursesrock, you sound exactly how I felt awaiting my results. Just keep your calm and wait until you get your results. You will run yourself crazy trying to figure out what you did on your own. CONGRATS to everyone. We did it!

OMG... I am sorry to post so late. I was so frantic on the 7-3-08 and on 7-4-08. I got my results on sat. 7-5-08. I PASSED!!! I Thank God. I just could not believe it....

Passed with 75 q's just a few days ago. Was absolutely certain I had failed.... But I didnt, praise God!

So, sorry to write so late. I PASSED! What an uwful test, right? I'm just glad I'm not the only one that feels/felt the way I did.... so bad. It still hasn't fully hit me yet that I passed. Good luck to everyone!!!!
