Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I took it in April, 1999. Our school gave us practice tests all the way through our program. So when I took the NCLEX I had to keep reminding myself this was the real thing. I was so used to the format and the computer, it didn't seem real.

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I wonder what the difference was btwn the old exam and the new one since the change in April '07. Our school told us they were raising the bar.. Basically making it harder. I just want to pass already!

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

from what i saw in www.ncsbn.org/ they raised the passing standard (in logits). So it's really expected to have a decrease in the passing rate.... how sad......

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

Graduate w/ BSN & took NCLEX 1/18/08, 3 weeks later. It shut off at 75 & I had no idea if I passed or failed. Have never met anyone who failed at 75 -- know lots of nurses from working as an aide the past 4 yrs in a large hospital. As I drove away from the testing site, my heart started beating faster b/c I knew I missed the last question. I thought "OMG" I must have missed so many it wouldn't give me the chance to go on to prove myself. I was so sure I had failed. Couldn't sleep or relax. I couldn't remember any of the questions except the ones I missed. Found out this morning I passed. Thank God. I highly recommend the Hurst Review online or live. Marlene is phenomenal! She is a very dynamic speaker & teaches things like the endrocrine system in a way you'll never forget. For those of you waiting on your results...in our class so far most have had 75 & passed, 93, 130, 110 all passed. Two had 265, one of them failed. Best wishes to all. Waiting for the results was one of the most nerve wracking experiences I have encounter.

Re: 75 Questions on NCLEX, pass or fail?

I took mine today. Stopped at 75. I was unsure of alot. Lots of priority questions, and pharm. I am sick over it... probably just because of the waiting. Hope to get the results soon.
