Re: Duggar Family with 17 kids and another on the way

Does anyone know it there oldest kids, the ones that have completed their home schooling, have gone off to college? It seems to me that the dad wants to keep all the kids away from the outside world.

And you should see my sis-in-laws' yard . . . . gorgeous. She is an English as a Second Language teacher for elementary and high school. Married a Hispanic man and had 3 kids. All bilingual. All had chores. All graduated from college.

My husband rescued a woman and her two little boys, married her and made two more babies.

Hard work, organization, rules, "jurisdictions" won't kill ya. And might just make you stronger.

I was raised by an Army officer and his German wife. Hard work and efficiency are traits Germans seem to be born with and we all had chores (except mom really wanted to do all the housework because we weren't good enough and it was her domain, so it wasn't sun up to sundown work). It was all "yes sir" and "yes mam" with no back talk aloud. We all grew up lazy slobs with drug and alcohol problems.

Go figure. LOL

If there was a perfect formula that worked 100% of the time . . . .

And each child is born with his/her own temperment and what works for one doesn't work for another. . .

And you need to cut yourself some slack. . . .

Re: Woman expecting her 18th child

I didn't read all 31 pages, just some.
I do have a question.

How does a very fertile couple who believe birth control is a sin avoid having a kid every other year?
Breast feeding tapers off when the baby starts eating other food.

I don't think married people need to be celebate.
