Re: Supreme Court rejects death penalty for raping children

Just a side note, there is certainly something wrong with a system of punishment that gives persons more fines and jail time for abusing animals than they often do for the abuse, rape, and mistreatment of children. Now I like animals, but I certainly like children better, so its just astounding to me this happens. I have a neighbor who recently critically injured his daughter, he got a fine. If he had shot his dog he would have gotten a fine and jail time. This was not because of where the crime was committed, just the law. My daughters, who live elsewhere often tell me we are stricter on many crimes than the laws where they live. As I sid this is just a off side observation. Have a good day.

I seriously doubt there is a law that protects animals more than children. Your example is anecdotal at best.

You also can't compare criminal cases as they all have different circumstances.

lousy supreme court

well fellas, it looks as if the clowns on the supreme court has let the innocent children of this country down once again. in a 5-4 ruling they claimed it to be "cruel and unjust" to put some s.o.b to death for brutal child rape. what the freak is this country comming to...maybe we should be struck by some damn alaskan size cosmic rock and wipe the whole slate clean. Only in america where it's almost damn impossible at times to protect your kids from perverts who have more rights than you, but now once they get caught they still get slaps on the wrist.....what the hell is going on here.....

Re: lousy supreme court

Anyone that thinks criminals have MORE rights than victims obviously doesn't know one thing about the law.

Anyone that thinks life imprisonment in a prison, where people tend to murder child abusers/rapists, is a slap on the wrist is obviously deluded.

Anyone that thinks victims should have more rights than criminals obviously has no understanding of the Constitution.

Get it? Got it?

GOOD!

Well I didn't want to call your post trolling but obviously I was wrong.

I love when people try to challenge someone's manhood.

Of course it is usually a sign of a lack of a valid argument. There is no world where death is just for any crime that doesn't result in death.

Of course, the Supreme Court Justices must be very unmanly too.

Re: lousy supreme court

fella i was'nt trolling or fishing. and as far as challenging your manhood, i don't have to challenge it. it's quite clear to me where your manhood is if you believe that a child rapist does'nt deserve to be put to the chair and smoked...and as far as those 5 bench riders, i'd wish they come to my er one night after we get a 4yo who has been sexually devestated and try to explain to me creul and unjust punishment.

A) When you realize that being a man isn't all about posturing then...
B) When you actually have a child then...
C) When you have lost a child THEN talk to me.

Until then stick to what you know, which obviously isn't law or what parents actually go through...

Stanely, how can you accuse RN1980 of fishin or Trolling?? This was valid opinion!
You seem like you are floundering and trying to bring people down for not being parents etc.!
Well, heres me. , a parent of three, safely brought up kiddos! I have lost a boy who was going to be my son in law, so I know the pain of loss. The only thing on your hat trick I can't score with is being a man, but my hubs is, and shares my feelings 100%.
Stanely, you really need to open your eyes to others views honey.
