A pregnant man?

Did anyone see the oprah show with the transgender man who is pregnant. He's already had the surgery but kept his female reproductive organs. I guess he will have a c-section. I personally was uncomfortable seeing a person who looks like a man but is pregnant. What do you all think?

Re: A pregnant man?

I agree with you I felt more uncomfortable and a little perturbed than shocked to see someone who looks like a man pregnant

Re: A pregnant man?

Don't judge. Everything is normal. Didn't you learn that in nursing school?

How about that Microsoft exec who got a sex change. He got facial feminization surgery and breast implants BUT he wanted to keep his wife AND his male genitalia. So now he's a woman with a male appendage and a wife. That's normal too. DON'T JUDGE!!!

Re: A pregnant man?

I'm happy for the couple. They seem to genuinely want this baby (AEB the hell they went through to find a doc that would accept them), and seem like nice folks. What he looks like is irrelevant to me.

Anyone see the pregnant man on Opray? Testosterone questions

I'm sure some of you saw it. I didn't watch all of it.

It was a female turned "male" by testosterone mainly - not surgical sex change.

6 months pregnant and supposedly normal ultrasound.

Any opinions or thoughts on all that testosterone and that pregnancy?

They didn't say how she/he got pregnant (or I missed that).

I can't imagine all that testosterone would not cause problems in that child.

Re: A pregnant man?

I felt that the "man" expressed himself well and his wife was very supportive.

There was no surgical change except the breast.

The testosterone concerns me. I can't imagine that won't have some negative effect on that baby.

I was a little turned off by Oprah (even though I like the lady) because she kept making faces about what he went through to get his change but she has had so much plastic surgery. To me that is no different.

I have to say that I respected the fact that this "man" didn't get drastic surgery. I was in the OR with one of those and that is DRASTIC (she to he sex change).

I saw this post after I started one under wrong board. I was wondering why I didn't see anyone post it.

He stopped taking testosterone two years prior to becoming pregnant, OB doc said his pregnancy hormones were that of a normal woman.

He has his female organs. He may not need the c-section.

Anyone catch how he got pregnant? AI?
