Kylee-

There's at least one more in this series. I wound up watching the last game in the ED. Dh had issues. I probably saw it w/less interruptions there than I would have @ home w/dh.

LET'S GO PENS!!!!!!

33 years, baby! WOOT!

Yeah, um...seriously though...Yay! I'm under no delusions...the Wings are scarey good right now. But the Stars fought back. And who knows what may happen...

I love this sport.

WTH was up with them taking away the Wings first goal? There was no interference with Turco. Homer was clearly outside the crease.

And the goal later in the game. The puck crossed the line but dumb ref was in back and had a bad view and called it no goal. What crap. We should have won that game we outplayed the Stars. If it wasn't for Turco they wouldn't have had a chance.

I think we will win game 5 here at home. GO WINGS!!!!!

Guess we're headed to Game 5 as well. Time to tighten up the play, boys.

Re: NHL Playoffs anyone? (spoilers inside)

So, I'm guessing you guys know about the "33 Year" deal...where there have only been two previous times that teams have blown a 3-0 series lead and end up losing...

1942

(33 years later...)

1975

(33 years later...)

Hmmmmm....

But I learned today something that made me laugh. The team that lost in '42 was the Red Wings. The team that lost in '75 was the Pens.

(No, I don't really believe all this superstitious stuff. And yes, I do believe! LOL! )

I guess you never know. Part of me wouldn't mind seeing the Stars b/c we'll get to keep home ice advantage. We've been really hot at home this year, but either team will work for me. It was nice to see the Pens show up today. (With authority, I might add.) 6-0.

Well we will be seeing the Pens in the finals. Home ice advantage. I can't wait until Saturday.

Come on! You're talking about a League that allowed something as astounding and ridiculous as "No Goal" to stand ...

I hope the Wings tear the Pens to shreds and leave them in the dust.
Alas! I somehow suspect that the League's darling poster boy Crosby is going to walk home the cup

cheers,

PS: Don't get me wrong. Crosby is an amazing player - but the way folks in the League keep talking about Crosby like he's the next best thing since sliced bread is starting to grate on my nerves...

Re: NHL Playoffs anyone? (spoilers inside)

Well, that was one helluva fun ride! I couldn't be prouder of my team! Went further than anyone gave them credit for, and they went down swinging. We have a young core team and just like Detroit did last year, going out in the WCFs is a growth hormone that has great promise (shamlessly stolen from our color guy, Razor!). Detroit has a great team, and there's zero shame in losing to them. Next year, though...it's gonna be a different story!

Here's to a unforgetable season...and to short off-seasons!

BTW, I'm glad to have found some hockey fans here to chat with during the playoffs. You guys are awesome (yeah, even you nrsang97! LOL!)! I'm still here till the Cup gets skated. I haven't had a chance to switch gears enough to pick a team yet...but it's going to be a great Finals.
