Ebay sues Craigslist

The online auction giant eBay is suing the popular internet community ad site Craigslist to "safeguard its four-year financial investment".

In a statement, eBay claimed that in January, Craigslist executives took actions that "unfairly diluted eBay's economic interest by more than 10%".

Re: Ebay sues Craigslist

Here's another article:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080422/...bay_craigslist

It sounds like a setup to me. They bought a portion of the interest in craiglist, which is obviously undermining eBay with its free ads, and now they are using some legal maneuver to sue Craigslist based on the fact that they own a minority portion of Craigslist.

I personally haven't used Ebay for years, I prefer Craiglist. It's so easy to list an ad, for free, with them, and buy from people in your own vicinity.
