Re: Debt

Why do we pay taxes?

The Constitution of the United States of America

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Re: Debt

I would give this congress a D- or F for controlling spending. Shame on the president for not vetoing some of this ridiculous spending.

I agree and this is one area that I'm disappointed in my President.

My bro-in-law would agree.....I detest spending any of my holiday time with that buffoon....He believes that you care for your own (bye school lunches) Your children don't really need those vaccinations-the dangers of not getting them is just propaganda put out by the drug companies. You carry the bare minimum on your health insurance and make your wife have her babies at home with a midwife-big money savings-everything else can be taken care of homeopathically-after all, docs are quacks. They just make things up and make you think you are sicker then you really are...No need to put funds into education as far as he is concerned-his family is home schooled...Veterans got taken care of during their actual service time-they don't deserve anything afterwards...Who needs law enforcement? Move out to the country and buy many big guns...I tell you-pearls of wisdom just roll from his tongue-I should write a book...he also said that the children who died in the Oklahoma city bombing would have lived if they had been home -with stay at home mothers -where they belonged...He told me he does not believe in ADD/ADHD-"It's all just BAD parenting" (he knows our son has ADD) I can't WAIT to hear what he has to say Christmas...argh

Re: Debt

I don't have a problem with tax cuts.

That's my money the Government is spending - not it's own.

What I DO have a problem with, is the timing. When your expenditures go up (WoT, Dept. of Homeland Security etc), your income needs to increase as well.

So you either raise (or maintain current taxes) OR you cut expenditures in other areas.

But you can't keep borrowing at this rate! It's preposterous! This is something your children and grandchildren will ahve to contend with ladies and gentlemen! Not YOU - THEM!

Yet another peril of using fiat currency! Would any of you run your households like this?
