It's not offensive, it's the truth.

Life sucks, you get over it.
You're right, no one holds the patent on suffering.

But I don't think you ever get over it - for me that means forgetting.

Life sucks, but you learn to live with it.

I'll give you that one. There is no forgetting.

But there is moving on or getting over it.

Re: Colorado Law passed allowing men to use women's restrooms

i find it helpful to always keep in mind, that whatever our reasons are for opposing any given situation, that, we still have choices.

in this situation, while opposed to cogender bathrooms, i can always opt not to use them.

in the grander scheme, none of us is totally helpless.
in many instances, it's not that we 'can't'.
rather, it's we choose not to.
even in seemingly powerless situations, we still have a certain amt of control.

inevitably, it's all about perspective.

Ok, I am so glad I am not the only boy mom who deals with this.
For while there I was convinced that my son is the only one in the universe who does not lift the seat before he pees. It drives. me. freaking. insane.

I put a chart right next to the toilet and if he remembered to lift the seat, he got a sticker. When he got 10 stickers, he got a prize.

Every once in a while he forgets but it works for the most part.

I also put a sign behind the toilet so a certain man facing it could see it . . . .

FLUSH THE TOILET!

Oh, and to be fair . . . . I hate it when you go to the bathroom in other people's homes and the women toss their tampon applicator tube in the trash can without wrapping it in tissue first . . .

Oh. Busted Roy. I was wondering who kept getting the seat wet... There are some awfully annoyed women running around.
