Bush to allow cellphones to be sent to Cuba

Now, what is wrong with that title?
Shouldn't I be allowed to send a cellphone wherever in the world I want?

That said, I am glad the Cuban gov't is loosening its restrictions on its people. Long time in coming.

Re: Bush to allow cellphones to be sent to Cuba

I know people with family in Cuba. This will help them a lot.
They visit every other year. Som aspects of life are good for their family members both in Havana and in rural areas.

In the city a nurse lives on every block. She assesses her neighbors health and teaches baby care, nutrition, and such. She does triage and referral for everyone. Takes vital signs and such. As of last year she was testing URINE for sugar! If positive the neighbor was taken to a clinic for a workup.

People enjoy music and dancing daily. For real! I'm told that every evening people dance outside to real or radio music. Must be great to reduce stress.

I would need it because they cannot criticize their government in public. The very thought frightens them. (I'm going by what two ladies from church tell me)

I would be very unhappy in a beautiful country without freedom of speech!
It has gone on for 50 years!

So I hope that cell phone conversations with people in the US will help.
