Is there any written background to her story? How did she get that big? Does she have a metabolic problem?

We had a boy here locally whose parents stuffed with food - it was awful. Out in public he would eat two or three lunches followed by candy bars and soda. The docs tried to change the parents behavior but they resisted.

CPS was even called. They moved out of the area - I have no idea what happened to the poor kid.

I read a follow up story on Jessica not long ago, but I can't find the link- she was removed from her parents' home by CPS, and put into a weight loss program for shildren. she lost over a hundred punds and looked much better.

However, she has gained some back after being reunited with her parents.

I will keep looking for the link.

Apparently this story is few years old. I found a brief update, (I will try to re-find and post a link), She is like 10 now and weighs around 140. She has had to have multiple orthopedic surgeries to straighten her legs that had become severely bowed due to the weight. She was inpatient for nearly 2 years with intensive reteaching of diet and exercise modifications.
There were several quotes from the mother about how she would just feed her dear baby what she wanted and as much as she wanted because she thought it was mean to not do so. Mom apparently weighed nearly 500 herself.
When Jessica was 5 years old and 200lb she was paraded on Maury and the other trash/talk show circuit.
