PRN Agency Work

I currently work for Nurse Finders, I basically do PRN work... no contract. The thing is the closest ICU job for this is about 115 miles from my house. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on other agency's that do similar PRN work. I live in SW Missouri. I'm minutes from KS, OK and about 40 min from Ark.

Thanks for any input!!

Lori

Re: PRN Agency Work

Why don't you try calling the Nursing Supervisors of the hospitals near you and tell them to recommend agencies they utilize? I recently did this and the Nursing Supervisors were very helpful in making suggestions.

Re: PRN Agency Work

How about a per diem job directly for a facility in your area? Many are paying the same rates or so as the agency, and you get cancelled less in most cases.

Moving this thread to the Agency Forum that we have here and where you will be able to get more answers.

Re: PRN Agency Work

PRN work at local hospitals is significantly less in our area than agency work.
it would be much easier.
