Can anyone from the NYC area give me names of reputable and good agency fims. I have done a google search and only one company came up. Also can anyone tell me how is agency nursing in nyc? Are there plenty of jobs to go around? How is the pay? Are there any companies that offer benefits? You can pm if you like...thanks in advance.

Re: NYC Agency firms

I'm getting into agency nursing myself. The biggest one is White Glove. They have good pay rate and advertise the most. My coworker recommended MSN.
They do local and travel nursing.
I hope that helps.

Re: NYC Agency firms

It seems strange that you could only find one agency on google for NYC. Try contacting the govt regulating auth for the state. I got a list of all agencies for the my state showing the cities where they have offices. Unfortunately I can not remember how I found this info on the web but it had to have been from the state official website. Good luck.

Try Staff Blue!
Regarding to whether it has plenty of work for you, I think it is up to you. If you get a lot of complaint from other nurses and patients...they will call the agency and ask for a specific nurse not to be sent back to their facility. If you work hard, and you don't get into any trouble; then they will call the agency and ask to send you back there again.
Staff Blue offers $ 47.50/hour to work in a very famous local hospital.
If you want to know more about this agency, email your message to peggy@staffblue.com or call her at 718-232-2583. She is a very, very nice person with a very beautiful voice.
