MSN Staffing......

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew or worked for MSN. I have been thinking about doing some per diem work for a local agency. I spoke with a Rep from MSN this morning and she listed about 6 hospitals in the Birmingham area that they staff for. I also love the fact that it is daily pay.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing per diem for MSN in Ct. Using the bank card for daily pay is great. Most likely each branch operates differently. I find I have to stay on top of my own schedule to make sure I am getting placed each week.
I think it depends on the personality of your scheduler, and how on the ball they are. I do not work hospitals anymore only LTC. Hospitals will pay a higher rate. Mostly I like this agency. Because you are doing critical care, you should also get a higher rate.

I signed on with MSN. Here in my parts they have a really good rep. I have yet to do any shifts with them as I am still postpartum, but I plan to in the near future. The daily pay is a BIG plus!

I interviewed and signed on with MSN today. I heard about them from a work mate who recommended them. The interview went well, and I liked the atmosphere. So far, so good.

Re: MSN Staffing......

Each office is going to be different. Here in Kansas City, they were always pretty weak and lower pay than most others. They closed in KC about 6 months ago. On the corporate level, they appear to really be struggling financially. Just take a look at their stock.... yuck.

Re: MSN Staffing......

I work for MSN(Medical Staffing Network) doing per diem work.

I did a 13 week assignment with them, which is how I landed my first FT PACU job. When I did the 13 week assignment, I was paid weekly, opting to take and use the bank card to access my pay. They always were concerned about how I was making out or if I was running into any problems and if there was an emergency that I required same day pay, they were excellent about taking care of it for me.

As far as per diem goes, that has been a different ball of wax than a 13 week assignment. I found that they did not look into a facility when they were notified of bad situations or poor treatment of agency nurses. They tend to treat the per diem nurse more like you are on call and I found that the facility that I was doing the most per diem for did a lot of last minute cancelations. Over all not a horrible experience.

I would imagine that each regional office operates differently. But over all, I would have to give MSN a favorable report.
