Hi Seattle nurses, need advice from you please...

debating on whether or not to take a full-time job in bellingham vs. going agency again. anyhoo, I would like to know what agencies are the most respected, used, etc in seattle and if you can tell me going pay rates, benefits, relocation bonuses, travel pay, etc. I'll be moving with my family from alabama (military), so I was trying to find a company that paid relocation bonuses, offered solid contracts, etc. We are also buying a house somewhere between bellingham and seattle, so I need an agency that is willing to work for their nurses if you know what I mean. My specialty is the ep lab, but I've considered going back to the floor if necessary. I have a job lined up in bellingham, but I have a 9 month old and just don't think I'm willing to work monday-friday and give up mommy time. I also would like to know for you moms out there if you can recommend daycares, home providers, etc.
most important, about how long did it take you to receive your WA license? I'm sending in my paperwork this week and will not be moving there until June, so I'm hoping that is plenty of time.
Thanks a bunch and have a good day!!
Laura

Re: Hi Seattle nurses, need advice from you please...

Hello,

I currently work for Cascade Healthcare which is a very nice agency. They have lots of contracts, aren't too big so you can always get a hold of someone to answer questions. They primarily work Seattle through Tacoma, not sure about north of seattle though. They do both per diem and contracts.

Other ones are Maxim, Favorites, and HRN in the area, and from nurses I have talked too they like working for them also.

I worked a home health company but down in Puyallup. Home Health was big down here not sure about now (2 yrs ago)
