Question Any good agency in Tampa,Fl??

Hey Eveyone,
I wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good agency locally in Tampa, Florida.

I am an ICU nurse and I am signed with one agency now, but their selection is deplorable. Plus I am always getting canceled. There is no way that i could go full time with this agency.

I want to keep up with my Critical care Skills since I have accepted another job that is away from the bedside.

This agency pays $40/hr for ICU nurses and this is an independent contract deal. If i were to sign a 13 week contract gurantee 36 hours a week--the pay remains the same. I can't commit to a contract due to my new position.

I was thinking i could work agency maybe 1-2 a month so i could keep up my skills--but if i stick with this agency I may only work 1 or 2 times every 6 months the rate things are going.

This is the first time i have signed up with an agency. I hate getting dressed about to get into my car for a long drive and guess what.....you've been cancelled. I hate it!!!

Thank you.

I have been through this with an agency myself. The best thing to do is to sign up with more than one agency. Then just go with the first job offer. Good luck.

I used to love it, because they still had to pay me cancellation fees. I'd get a couple of hours' pay for driving to and from. Not bad.

Re: Any good agency in Tampa,Fl??

Hi I am looking for an agency in the Tampa/St. Pete area of FL. I didn't see any names listed on this thread.... Does anyone know of an agency that staffs hospitals in this area?
Thanks,
Megan
