Question $1000 for a 12hr shift in So. California? HELP!!

I live in the Phoenix area and someone told me that they heard a rumor that there is an agency/registry somewhere that will fly an RN out to California and pay $1000 for a 12 hour shift and then fly you back. If anyone has any information on this, please help me out. Thanks for your time.

Strike work perhaps? I live in So Cal and have never heard of an agency doing that.

Re: $1000 for a 12hr shift in So. California? HELP!!

I wondered if it was strike work. The person told me that she can work 1-5 days a week and her airfare and hotel are all paid for. I am a skeptic, so I thought I would check with some people on here to try to find out some different opinions.

I am in California and work agency. The higher side of pay can be about $600 per 12 hour shift, and that doesn't include transportation or housing.

What you read may have been strike nursing as mentioned above, not regular ICU shifts.
