Introducing myself..

Hi everyone, been lurking in this forum for a while and thought I would step up and stop lurking! Been reading all the info here while I was mulling over job offers.

I am a soon to be new grad, just accepted a positions in corrections. I have a background as a psych attendant at a state hospital for 6 years, worked various units, mostly chronic pts locked units, pts with criminal charges. (ask me about the idiot that lost the med cart keys and caused a lock down for over a week...not pretty.) Currently I work as a tech in a geri-psych unit.

I am excited and looking forward to the opportunity! Glad to be here!

Re: Introducing myself..

Thanks everyone! Friday night was pinning, was so incredible. Last night my clinical group had a dinner and party, so we went out and let off some steam.

Tomorrow morning my new job starts! I am so excited and nervous too.
