Certification exams

I found two websites for continuing education and specialty certification of Correctional nurses. Thought it to be interesting.. any taken these eams?
www.statepen.org
and www.ncchc.org/cchp
www.canyoncollege.edu
or maybe it is [url]www.canyoncollege.com[url]
I also think the canyon college course looks fantactic for continued learning and the cost is cheap at only 900.00 tuition, paid on 9 payments for 100 a month..
I am new to corrections and have found these sites very helpful.. check them out and let me what you think. I know the college is nonaccredited, but I have no reason or desire to transfer, Only want the course for personal satisfaction.

Comments please???
Thanks
Monica

Re: Certification exams

The National Commisssion on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) provides and exam to become a certified Correctional Health Professional. These exams are done at their convention in the spring and fall and are also given at regional locations throughtout the US. Contact ncchc.org for more information.
The American Correctional Association also has a certification program for correctional nurses. visit them at aca.org.

Re: Certification exams

I too am interested in education/cert. pertaining to corrections. Has anyone take a Canyon College course? Their web page looks a little cheesy but the courses look good and affordable as mentioned. Also, how challenging is the NCCHP exam? Does it require a lot of prep?
Thanks!
