What is the percentage for each year of service worked in cal corrections as a nurse. And also what is the earliest age you can retire at. I did work for nevada and you earned 2.67% for every year worked, is california better.

Re: CalPERS question?

The percentage is 2.5 and you can start collecting your retirement at the age of 55.

Can I also buy-back my military time for retirement? And is it possible to retire at 50 with less pension?

Re: CalPERS question?

i'm not sure about military buy back.
nurses retire at 55, cops and firemen retire at 50.
you can quit/resign at 50 or whatever age you want and collect at 55.
