well in a grocery store, i think it is called jack mackerel...but in prison lingo it's simply jack mack. the inmates liked to mix it in their ramen.

As far as the females...they are a trip. We had a girl that kept going through fixodent for her one tooth partial. I mean a tube in two days. Once of CO's found a glove with the fixodent in two of the fingers... fixodent hardens when its left out. Ugh... the things they come up with!
OMG that one made me laugh oh man, I know quite a few both detention and patrol deputies. Your fixodent story beat all of them.

I will have to tell some of them to watch out for that one, no one would think twice about fixodent and glove. The ladies in our local jails haven't done this one yet.

They did figure out something with washcloths and cardboard tubes but now fixodent whew. To much to think hahaa. Oh some of them are so ingenious I wonder what some could have been or done if they had chosen a different path other then crime.

Oh bless you I don't know how some manage to work there other then you are truely called to do it. Such heightened sexuality all of the time.

I started a PRN job at the prision last week. It took me forever to firgure out what a jacket was. The comment made was "do u have Mr. "jones" jacket?" I was thinking why would I have someone's jacket. Then they told me a jacket is what we call medical charts. That was a new one for me.

I was orienting a nurse in intake last night. I saw the IM just came from DOC to our facility. So, in order to streamline the Q and As, I asked him where he just came from?
His response was, "I just buried my number"
Now, to you and me, that means he finished his sentence at the DOC. Unfortunately for the orienting nurse, she only heard the first 3 words...LOL!
Well, a short explanation was in order, and she soon recovered her composure!

now....one that you might not find in there, and one that i hear ALOT of in prisons (male prisons, that is) is inmates exclaiming "kill shot"..so lets hear if any of yall know what they mean by that.......(i do, but want to know if it is just a regional thang/texas thang, or widely used throughout the US)
Now that's some interesting reading! Just thought I'd post and say I know the reason biscuits were called Cat Heads... our older generation uses the same slang here in WV. Seems the scratch made dough was harder than our store-bought type, and was "pinched off" from the doughball and slapped onto the pan, almost like a hershey's kiss. Once baked and puffed up, the shape resembled cat heads looking up at the ceiling.
Now ya know... LOL...
