I have searched Depart of Corrections and allnurses....Can I apply online for a CA corrections position before I take my boards, or do I have to wait until after and I am a licensed profession? I saw on the online application that I need to put my license number in and I am tying to be proactive before I graduate May 08. (Of course I am applying to other specialties...I realize corrections in CA is extremely difficult to get into...but then again, everything is a adventure.

I was able to take the online exam for corrections in Calif. while still in school, but you have to be licensed before you can interview.

Thank you for answering my question. I have a scholarship and have to work county/federal/underserved/not for profit for three years and am trying to be ahead of the game.
