the certification board for onc. is starting a breast health rn certification. Might be worth checking out the website to see if thereis content outline yet. I am on my cell phone so cant google for the link. If you can find ce courses related to breast health it would not hurt, also loking for xray and ultrasound ce classes not just nursing, there might be more options that way. I would definatly be familiar with the procedures done at the facility, even if Yup are not doing the xray/ultrasound/biopsy you might be responsible for patient education. For instance knowng about wire locs, lymphosintography, biopsy, steriotatic biopsy, what ultrasound looks for (more than just cyst or solid), diffrences between screening and diagnostic mammo. You might also want to read up of the federal requirements since you might be involved in letters and accreditation maintianince.
