Anyone here with experience working in the Gulf? How did you find a job? How did you feel about living over there?

Re: Working in Saudi Arabia/UAE

Helen Ziegler is a company that recruits to Saudi and UAE. If you contact them, they'll send you an information package. Last year when I was speaking to them they had positions in Saudi but none in UAE. I quickly lost interest. Saudi is a VERY restrictive country, esp if you're female. Most assignments they have "on campus" housing, you'll have a roommate. The comittment is for a min. of 1 year. At this point in time, I wasn't ready to sacrifice my freedoms for the cultural experience. I still, inspite of all the above, think it would be an awesome place to go to work.
