I love Canada and wish to become a Citizen. I am currently taking my CNA classes and after I complete them I will start on my RN classes. I have been looking around the Canada immigration website and need some advice. I took the skilled workers immigration test with the skills I would have by the time my LPN or RN degrees are complete. With out having a job set up before I apply I just bearly clear the 67 point mark with a RN degree. If I am able to set up a job before I Apply I clear the 67 point mark with some wiggle room. I am wondering once I complete my CNA program if I should then apply for a student visa and go to college in Canada. Then once I have finished college I will have lived and worked in Canada for 2-4 years. Would going to Canada as a student help with my immigration process? I also have a question about my education. Do to problems at home I had to leave and couldnt finish highschool. I did get a my GED and saved up the money for college. I am wondering if a GED is accepted in Canada as a highschool equivalency or if it would stop me from getting into a Jr.college or university in Canada. hi there.....just out of curiosity, why do you choose canada to study and work? isnt it that US hospitals give better salaries for RN'S?

To go to Canada as a student would require that you have the funding for it, and you are not normally able to work on a student visa. LPN license does not normally give you a visa to work either. And many of the provinces are now requiring the BSN ro begin work as an RN.
