Hello! Need advice

by pazi

Hello!

I am new here and would like to ask for advice regarding practice of nursing. I am a new RN and still on the probationary period. I am just concerned that despite this I am sent to the floor as the only RN on duty for the shift. I am sometimes with a LPN or a unlicensed grad nurse. I am new and I am concerned. I know I have been doing this in the last few months but I am just concerned that I would be liable for anything since i am still on my probationary period. talked to my employer but said it was alright.hope someone out there can give me advice what to do. thanks!

As a new RN can you get into the new grad initiative programs
they mentor you and give you full time employment for like six mths...
if you are uncomfortable you can leave to another place that give you a real proper orientation and support

pls check it out!
a lot of hospitals have it, and so do some LTC have some extra money for new grads to pair you with someone for a bit.
New grad initiative
ask RNAO
good luck~!
