degree from iuon?

Hi all... Glad I found this site! I have a few questions about studying abroad in St Kitts at Internation University of Nursing (Robert Ross)

Can you get a job with this degree in canada? I live in toronto... It is an Associates degree from 1 yr in the carribean and 1 yr in the states. Has anyone done it?

Thanks

Hi,

I currently attend IUON, the degrees that you will receive will be an associates in nursing from an accredited school in the US and also from IUON(im not sure about the rules for practice in canada with a US license, that you will have to research), but i really dont think it will be a problem. Most importantly, you will be able to sit for the NCLEX exam after completing the program in order to obtain a license. Yes there are two degrees, but the degree from the US school is the more valuable of the two, because the school is still seeking accreditation, whereas the affiliate schools already has it. Hope this helps you. . . email me at anytime if you have anymore questions.

Thank you! My friend just left, she is attending Windsor for Med school... I like the whole idea of just going to carribbean.. totally different escape whereas here I am always distracted and end up choosing work over studying. Do you like it there? how far into the program are you? I am looking at going in may or sept of 07. I hear the tuition doesn't include housing though

Hello, I am going to IUON this May, I really want to know where I will be going after I come back from St Kitts? I tried calling there NY office but their reply was, "are your trying to attend there instead of going to IUON?" Don't take me wrong but I think it will be nice if school share its affiliated schools names?

I was wondering if you this school provides dorms or you have to arrange your own housing let along with if the expenses can be covered with FSFAS or you have to take private loan.

Last but not the least, what school you are attending?

Hi I just found out today that I was accepted for May 2007 class. They do not have dorms, but the school helps you find housing. If you apply for the Sallie Mae loan (private) it covers your housing costs as well.

Hi,

I live in CA. Interested in your feedback academically about the school and the financial process of affording this private school.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
