Most importantly, you will be able to sit for the NCLEX exam after completing the program in order to obtain a license. Yes there are two degrees, but the degree from the US school is the more valuable of the two, because the school is still seeking accreditation, whereas the affiliate schools already has it. Hope this helps you. . . email me at anytime if you have anymore questions.

the amount of time you do in the us depends on which degree you are going for. if it is ADN you have to do 3 sem at one of the partner schools. if it is BSN then it's 2 sem in the partner school.

if you have anymore questions just ask! i'l be more than happy to answer as best i can

Re: degree from iuon?

Hello Everyone,

Well after aspiring in Cali for many months, I was accepted into IUON (now Robert Ross International Universtiy of Nursing) for the Spring 2008 BSN program.

The situation I personally found myself in was dire. In California as we all know it's cut throat to find a spot anywhere. Yes its a long way away, a lot of student debt,(@100k) and not a traditional approach. I took some time looked at options(or lack there of) and am taking a shot. I have no concerns about it bieng a soild program and the partner school (Grand Canyon U.) is a established.

I owe everyone who posted on here some thanks and will share my experience and thoughts as I continue on this journey. Please email me with any questions and I will be happy to answer honestly.

Cant wait to put in my two weeks! No more 9-5 cubicle, cool car, nice apt, luxury lifestyle. Its back to broke(in debt), ramen, 89 civic, roommates, student life !!!

I would love to hear about ur journey I know it is a sacrafice
do you have any kids or a husband? and if so how do you plan to get around that?
will it really cost about $100 K? I was thinking about this also but wanted to get someone elses opinion first. DO you have transfer credit so you wont be at the college so long.

Re: degree from iuon?

Hey, I got a question. I just applied for the Spring '08 term at IUON and I was wondering, What questions do they ask during the phone interview? Also, since I applied this early, will they interview me sometime during the fall term or could it be in winter as well? I appreciate any help. thanks.

Actually, I'm not going anymore because a few of my plans changed. In regard to your question, you should receive an information packet from them soon and all of the housing information will be in there. However, basically, you will just need to send an email to the IUON director of admissions telling him your interested in finding a roommate and he will connect you with someone else who is also interested in a roommate. Anyway, good luck and hope you enjoy it. Just wondering, are you enrolled in the ADN or BSN program?
