Hi! I hope some good nurses from BC would shed me some light here. I paid for the CRNE exams for October a couple of weeks ago and am hoping I will be rostered for the October 2006 exam.
I am just wondering if there is any REVIEW CENTER within Vancouver ...if so could you please provide me with the contact person's name and number? I am trying to read the CRNE Prep Guide but I feel that it is not enough. I hate to continue browsing the Mosby book. I am new in BC and do not know anybody who intend to write the exam.

how did u get a job there in vancou? My husband has a job offer from dawsons creek BC. everything is set except we are still waiting for his IELTS result, so that his interim permit be granted. got HRSDC confirmation already.

if you are there in a work permit how long did it take from submitting the application form to canadian embassy manila to medical test to issuance of visa?

Hi! I got here because my husband is fil-can. it only took 6mos for my papers to be approved incl the visa. i do not have an idea for work permits. I guess it is more or less the same if we talk about months.

i'm also a Filipino. i just passed the local boards last june and i'm planning to work in canada because i have two aunts in vancouver.

what exams do i have to take to be able to work there? i'm currently reviewing for IELTS. a friend told me that there's no need for me to take NCLEX,only CGFNS. is that true?

please help me. thanks.

Reviewing for IELTS is a good step because you need that here. NCLEX nor CGFNS (i have one too) are neither required in Canada, so CGFNS is not useful here, only if you wish to move to the USA. If you wish to be registered here, you better try to contact CRNBC and have your papers assessed as early as possible because it took them over 6months to assess mine (i heard that is their minimum). I am now trying to to figure out a good review center here because I am not sure yet if I will get rostered for the OCTOBER 2006 exams.

thank you very much! i was about to review for NCLEX this november because i thought i will be needing it there. good thing you told me.

my aunt told me that i don't need to take exams here. she just wants me to fix my papers to be able to go to vancouver and just study there. i've heard about CRNE-- canada's version of NCLEX. so,that's the only exam i have to take to be able to work there. am i right?

are you still interested for a review center? My cousin took the exam last year in BC and she knows a review center. If you are still interested i'll ask her.

I'm taking the CRNE too this coming oct but I'm here in Ontario.
