Hi all,
I'm a new grad from BSN program - 2nd career for me after 13 years in another field. I'm very interested and have been quite involved in political activism -- and see there are several nurses on these boards who are HUGE activists for the profession.
So...my question is: Why not run for office? Whether it be a local, state or federal position...why not go for it? Have some of you done this? If not, what holds you back? It would seem that it would behoove the nursing profession to have more nurses who are members of legislative bodies.
What do you think???
