"Best"? Best for whom? Best under what circumstances, in what type of setting? It seems to me the question as posed is much too broad and vague to be answered. Can you clarify?

Well broadly speaking the ONLY model of care that should be acceptable is one that offers safe, effective, therapeutic, competent care for all patients regardless of location, socio-economic status, race, or insurance.

there are many models out there, and one must be attuned with various different circumstances he or she may face throughout their nursing career. In school I was thought the Betty Neumans system model which encompasses physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual variables. But i've learned about different models and must say that the application is solely based in the circumstances you are faced.
