Hey! Our buddy Michael Moore is putting together a new documentary due out next year on the healthcare industry, all the rumors and fabrications of the big business machines. I bet he would LOVE to hear some of our stories.

His website is www.michaelmoore.com.

Let's get in there.

Re: Sickees

Doesn't a documentary have to be based on facts and NOT opinions?

Re: Sickees

Not if it's a documentary about people's opinions.

Besides, I'm sure he'll find plenty of facts to support people's opinions.

I am sure many will not bother, given whose website you are referencing. Love him or hate him, he is not impartial, clearly. And anyone can use "facts" to support his/her theory or dissertation. Everyone knows that; caveat emptor.

Re: Sickees

Have to agree BluEyes...it would be hard to be "moved" or "astounded" by a Michael Moore documentary, and I don't know about any of you, but I wouldn't want to contribute to whatever he wants to say about healthcare...Besides, wouldn't he just say...er...ummm...document what he wants to, anyway?

Agreed. I personally think it would be professional suicide for the profession of nursing to associate or align itself with someone like Michael Moore. Or Rush Limbaugh for that matter.

Nursing as a profession should be ABOVE political sensationalism for sensationalism's sake.

Re: Sickees

Michael Moore is not the person we want telling our stories. He has his own twisted agenda and it is not the betterment of nurses or healthcare.

Re: Sickees

I think it's rather strange to dismiss the message just because you hate the man. Heck, I've even defended George Bush on occasion!
