Los Angeles County, Calif., supervisors authorized health officials to negotiate nearly $100 million in contracts to help overhaul Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center during the hospital's downsizing, including up to $85 million to subsidize as many as 90 beds for county patients at nearby private hospitals.

AND...... this is after all the millions they paid Navigant to bring King up to JCAHO and state standards...........
Can the taxpayers of LA county demand a refund from Navigant????????
Our Board of Supes are amazing... folks in the High Desert have no access to a County Hospital and now residents in the Willowbrook area will have no specialty services ... Can they get to Harbor-UCLA, hop on the bus after you're shot I guess.
The board members have chauffers and helicopters which makes it hard for them to relate!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone needs to remind them that all county residents deserve equal access!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just where are the nearby private hospitals?
